Fri Oct 23 – Sun Oct 25. Life in the Cemetery’ Tour -The ‘Life in the Cemetery’ Tour is an annual guided historical walking tour. This fundraising event is sponsored by the Kennesaw Cemetery Preservation Foundation, dedicated to the preservation and restoration of the city’s cemetery. This one-hour walking tour, where the last tour each day is after dark, covers a variety of uneven surfaces. These include dirt, grass and grass hills, asphalt and/or gravel roads. Attendees will be required to navigate around headstones and small walls surrounding some family plots. This tour is not recommended for those with wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, mobility or balance challenges. (An online tour is available at kennesawcemetery.org.) SAT OCT 25 SMITH GILBERT GARDENS Fall Plant Swap Participants can drop off plants on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 9 AM – 12 PM, as well as Tuesday, Oct. 21, and Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 12 – 3 PM Participants will receive a ticket for each item they donate, which can be redeemed for the same number of items during the “open swap” on Saturday the 25. Swap participants will not be charged admission on the day of the event but will need to check in at the front desk before participating. Plants must be in a 4”, 1 gal, 3 gal, or 7 gal pot which must be free of weeds. Plants must be clearly and correctly labelled, healthy, free of pests and disease, and well-rooted. ANNUALS, INVASIVES, AND NOXIOUS WEEDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Items will be organized into categories: trees, shrubs, and perennials. Any items left over at the end of the event will be available for sale until the end of the business day, and proceeds will benefit the Smith-Gilbert Gardens Foundation.
SAT OCT 25 SOUTHERN MUSEUM A is for Agriculture with Ag-Pro of Marietta. Join the Southern Museum and climb aboard real John Deere tractors, courtesy of Ag-Pro Marietta! Museum staff will host an education table about the history of the John Deere company that was founded during the 1800’s and includes making a craft children can take home.

FRI Acworth Farmers Market will take place on Friday mornings between April 5 and October 25 from 8:00 a.m. to noon. The market is located in the Logan Farm Park Expansion, located at 4405 Cherokee Street in Acworth.
