Easter Activities Abound – Acworth, Kennesaw, Marietta

Our community has several Easter activities planned for the next two weekends.  We have listed them in our calendar below. Fun for the whole family. 1000's of eggsFRI MAR 27 – ACWORTH EGG HUNT – The City of Acworth and Freedom Church invite your family to their Easter Egg Hunt. The event will take place at the Acworth Sports Complex, 4000 South Main St. The egg hunt will be held on the baseball fields and we ask all participants to please park on the baseball side of the complex. Gates and concessions open at 6:30 p.m. The Easter Bunny will be arriving just before the first hunt begins! FRI MAY 27 EASTER EGG SCRAMBLE The Marietta Parks & Recreation Department will host the Annual Easter Egg Scramble on Friday, March 27 at 6:30 p.m. at Laurel Park located at 151 Manning Road. More info: Marietta’s Parks and Recreation Department, 770-794-5601

Meeting the Easter BunnySAT MAR 28 – BREAKFAST WITH THE EASTER BUNNY – hosted by Kennesaw’s Parks & Recreation Department at the Ben Robertson Community Center. Seatings available at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Advance tickets are $6 per person, and MAY be purchased online at   www.kennesaw-ga.gov or at the Community Center, located at 2753 Watts Drive. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $8 per person (based on availability, space is limited). Children two years of age and under do not need a ticket; however they must sit on an adult’s lap.For more information, call (770) 422-9714.

SAT MAR 28 – COBB COUNTY EGGSTRAVAGANZA UNDER THE STARS.  Event begins at 6:00 pm at Jim R. Miller Park in Marietta.  Evening glow-in-the-dark egg hunt.  Bring your flashlights.  Children’s art activities, live entertainment, inflatables, hula-hoop, egg toss, best-dressed contest, food, and more. SUN MAR 29 EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA Marietta First Baptist Church invites you to attend their 11:00 am worship service and stay for their annual  Easter Eggstravaganza in the parking lot of the Family Life Center. There will be a catered lunch, an egg hunt, and inflatables for all to enjoy. Guests are always welcome. SAT APR 4 KENNESAW UNITED METHODIST CHURCH – 10:00 am.  Will host an Easter Celebration and Egg Hunt in the Christian Activities Center for children 0-5th grade.  Activities, egg hunt and free hot dog lunch.  The church is located on Ben King Rd in Kennesaw.

SAT APR 4 – SMITH-GILBERT GARDENS EGG HUNT – Smith-Gilbert Gardens is hosting its first annual Easter Egg Hunt. The first hunt will begin at 10 am, and a second one will take place at 2 pm. The price for non-member children is $10.00 and adult entry is $7.00. There is a discounted rate for SGG Members ($5.00 per child & adults free) as well as the opportunity to register early. Ticket price will include garden admission, one Easter egg hunt, a chance to meet the Easter bunny, free craft tables, as well as other vendors. Find more event details  smithgilbertgardens.com . Successful egg huntingSAT APR 4 NORTHEAST COBB COMMUNITY EGG DROP. 10:00 am Bring the whole family out for the 6th Annual Northeast Cobb Community Egg Drop presented by Piedmont Church and Superior Plumbing and get ready as more than 90,000 eggs and pieces of candy are spread out and dropped from a helicopter at the football fields at Sprayberry High School April 4, 2015! Free admission and ample free parking will be available at Sprayberry High School. Food will also be available to purchase from the Sprayberry Football Booster Club and all other proceeds from the event go to support both the Shop with a Yellow Jacket and the Shop with a Longhorn programs for Sprayberry and Kell High Schools.

SAT APR 4 – KFBC EGGSTRAVAGANZA – The congregation at Kennesaw First Baptist Church invites the public to celebrate Easter with them from 3-5 PM as their popular Eggstravaganza will be held once again – Free Fun! Egg Hunts, Pony Rides, Crafts, Inflatables, refreshments and  a glow in the dark Easter Egg hunt for school age children.  The hunt is for toddlers through 5th grade.  Volunteers – email drivera@kfbc.org. SUN APR 5 – EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE – Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Memorial Park, 2950 North Cobb Parkway, Kennesaw, is hosting its 25th annual Easter Sunrise Celebration beginning at 6:45 a.m. with service provided by Dr. Perry Fowler with Kennesaw First Baptist. Guests are encouraged to dress warmly and comfortably and are invited to bring a blanket or lawn chair. In the event of inclement weather, services will be held in the mausoleum. SUN APR 5 EASTER SERVICES Kennesaw First Baptist Church invites all to join them for Easter Services.  Dr. Perry Fowler will provide an Easter Sunrise Celebration at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Memorial Park, and two services at the church: 9:30 am and 11:00 am. The church is located at 2958 Main Street, Kennesaw.

SUN APR 5 – EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE – Marietta First Baptist Church invites all to join them for Easter Services. You have three times to choose from.  Marietta First Baptist Church will hold an Easter Sunrise Service on Marietta Square at 7:00 am.  An Easter Early Service will be held in the Church’s Chapel at 8:45am and an Easter Traditional Service will be held in the Sanctuary 11:00am
